A REDDITCH car company is donating 100 cars worth £1 million to a national children's charity as part of a major partnership project.

Cresser Car Company, Washford Drive, is supporting the Surestart National Children's Home (NCH) project by supplying the Tacuma family MPVs for free.

NCH charity Surestart will use the vehicles to help vulnerable children, young people and their families by providing mobility that is otherwise out of their reach.

The Driving Change for Children partnership will run for at least 12 months.

Cresser Daewoo Sales Manager Stuart Huckvale said: "We're proud to be associated with National Children's Home and with these Tacumas we hope, in a small way, to help enrich the lives of vulnerable children, young people and their families."

NCH chairman Gordon Edington said: "We're delighted and grateful for the support from Daewoo.

"The use of 100 Tacumas for our projects around the UK is not only generous but also extremely practical as it will provide much-needed mobility for the children and families we support in communities where there are often very few other transport alternatives."
