DOG and Pheasant failed to make it to the final of the Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger League's Rose Bowl. They lost Sunday's semi-final against Stoke Prior Sporting 4-2.

Meanwhile in the league the bottom team in Division One, Ringspanners, picked up their first win of the season when they won 2-0 at Meadow Park Premier. Woodbourne Sports and Bromsgrove Town played out a 1-1 draw.

Division Two leaders Cofton Falcons were beaten 2-1 at home by middle of the table Crown Inn. Meanwhile Victoria Athletic and Rubery RBL drew 2-2, and Alvechurch Darts Reserves ominously closed the gap on Cofton with a 3-2 win at Wychbold RBL Reserves. They are now just five points adrift in second spot with four games in hand. The Blackwell-Bromsgrove General Reserves match was called off.

The top two in Division Three were both among the goals. Leaders Churchill United beat Waseley United 5-0, while Cofton Celtic trounced bottom club Golden Lions 9-0. The other match in this division produced a 5-0 win for Black Cross against Springmeadow.

In the quarter finals of the Worcestershire Junior Cup Division One club Intersports beat West Heath Snooker 5-0, but leaders Victoria Barnt Green suffered a 1-0 reverse at Malvern Premiers. Extra time was needed in the county's Minor Cup with Star and Garter, the Division Three side, going down 2-1 to Droitwich Spa Reserves.
