DEAR EDITOR - I was annoyed to read articles in the local press regarding the naming of Droitwich's lido.
Firstly, the future of Droitwich Spa is apparently only in the hands of 15-35 year olds. Excuse me - I am 50+ and also have a daughter who is 10 years old. I would like to know just where we figure.
We might just as well pack our bags and move to where we are part of the local community.
Secondly Wychavon, I know, own the lido but as yet no firm decision as to its future has been formulated
I feel sometimes, that certain people who consider themselves in authority, forget what is at grass roots. Yes, this is part of Droitwich Spa's heritage and hopefully future, but let's not get carried away.
I wrote some time ago about the possibility of other uses for the lido area and did not get the criticism I expected.
This is not just for the leader of Wychavon to decide, this is a matter for people throughout the district.
