BROMSGROVE Rovers put on a late recovery to draw 3-3 with Team Bath in the Dr Martens Western Division last night.

Trailing 3-1 with just a quarter-of-an-hour to go they rolled up their sleeves and staged a dramatic fight-back which both warmed and was fully appreciated by a sparse crowd.

Rovers even came close to claiming all three points as both sides continued to go for it in an exciting finale.

They began well and took the game to the visitors and for the first 30 minutes looked slightly the better side.

But then they looked to have blown it when goals from Paul Tisdale (38 and 71 minutes) and Mike Gillingham (49 mins) put the visitors 3-1 ahead -- this after the home side had led through Mark Benbow's 31st minute effort, when he pounced close in after a Paul Szewczyk effort had come back off the bar.

That goal followed a neat move involving Mark Bellingham, who made an impressive debut after joining the club from Sutton Coldfield.

His arrival signalled a welcome injection of pace into the Rovers front line and helped conjure up a goal out of nothing to provide fresh hope.

In the 75th minute Bellingham moved the ball out to Marcus Jackson on the right and his deep cross looked to have been over-hit, but Kevin Banner popped up from nowhere to volley the ball in from the narrowest of angles.

It gave Rovers and the crowd a vital lift and 10 minutes later Craig Fullam's intended header back to his goalkeeper went astray and with Ali Hines stranded Bellingham nipped in to stab the ball into the empty net. It was no more than he and Rovers deserved.
