BROMSGROVE men's second XI turned in a much improved performance to hold visiting Pershore to a 1-1 draw.
Following the previous week's poor display and defeat at Market Drayton Bromsgrove skipper Si Clifton was looking for a better showing and put in a captain's performance as Bromsgrove dominated the first half.
The pressure eventually told and, after failing with a penalty flick, a short corner shot by Bruce Turner brought the breakthrough via Scott Reeves.
Bromsgrove relaxed in the second half and allowed Pershore to pull level.
Meanwhile Bromsgrove Ladies Seconds beat Harborne III 3-1, and that was after the visitors scored first.
