A PILOT scheme has been launched to improve cleanliness and reduce litter across the borough.
Under the new Redditch Council project, roads and paths in designated areas will be swept every two weeks and "hot spot" litter picking responded to on a daily basis.
It will focus on parts of Matchborough, Winyates and Winyates Green and will continue until June.
Following the trial, the project will be evaluated and could influence future arrangements in the town.
Redditch Council director of environment and planning Sue Hanley said: "Although Redditch meets national targets for cleanliness, people think there could be more done to improve cleanliness.
"The council continues to work very hard to keep the borough clean and litter-free."
