WEIGHT watcher Katy Richards hopes to shed 50lbs in a bid to shape up and raise funds for charity.
Mrs Richards, aged 21, from Bromsgrove, has already lost 37lbs using the Weight Watchers points system.
So far she has raised more than £350 in sponsorship money, almost £10 for every pound lost.
The money will go towards The Garden Project, to develop the front garden of Avery Overall Baptist Home, Britannia Square, Worcester, where Mrs Richards works as a care assistant.
"I've tried losing weight before but found it difficult. Now I'm giving something back to the residents it has given me an incentive," she said.
The garden is a social area for the residents.
"It's our favourite place in the summer," said Mrs Richards.
It attracts a variety of wildlife, which the residents find stimulating.
"At the moment, the garden is quite dull and boring. We want it to be bright and colourful."
