A COUPLE has admitted 20 counts of possessing and supplying drugs to users as young as 14.

Eric and Nicola Woodbridge each admitted 10 identical charges including possessing more than a gram of "crack" cocaine, 285 ecstasy tablets, 503.19g of cannabis resin and 23.53g of amphetamine sulphate.

The stash of Class A and B drugs was discovered in a raid on the couple's house in Lowell Street, Arboretum, Worcester, on Friday, November 21.

Police officers also found large sums of cash, two sets of scales, plastic bags, cling film, lists of names and bank account details in the drug den.

"Officers acting on information went to the house on November 21 and met a 14-year-old boy leaving the address," said Mary Wallace, prosecuting.

"He was stopped and searched and two-and-a-half ounces of cannabis, nine ecstasy tablets and eight grams of amphetamine sulphate were discovered on him."

Fridge

Yesterday, Worcester Magistrates Court also heard how drugs were found in the fridge and lounge as well as upstairs in the Arboretum home.

Nicola Woodbridge, aged 36, admitted making around £250 a week from selling the drugs, though she claimed she did not know some of the buyers were just 14.

Thirty-four-year-old Eric Woodbridge, of previous good character, also fully admitted to police he was involved in the drug-running operation, which netted him around £200 each week.

A full pre-sentence review was also requested and the pair was committed to Worcester Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, February 27.

Eric was released on the condition he attends Worcester Police Station between 6pm and 8pm on Monday and Friday, and Nicola that she also reports there between 11am and 1pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
