THE wonders of woodlands await reception class pupils at Ombersley Endowed First School, near Droitwich.
Every Wednesday afternoon the children are taken into a nearby forest to discover what nature has to offer.
The outdoor learning initiative is proving very popular, with both youngsters and their teacher alike.
"Whatever the weather, we put on our wellingtons and go into the forest to see what we can find," said teacher Ruth Osborn.
"The children love it, and so do I, for that matter."
