MR E F Showell, in a flurry of letters to the Evening News, asks me to state my Party's views on some very important subjects.
Most people tell me that the Conservative Party's views could not be clearer on these questions, but as they are in tune with those of the overwhelming majority of British people, I am very keen that as many people understand them as possible.
So, in summary:
1.The single European currency - we are against it.
2. A more federal Europe - we are against it.
3. A referendum on a new European constitution - we want one.
4. Regional assemblies for England - we are against them.
Indeed, on all of them, we have been leading the national debate, and on all of them I have made a number of speeches in the House of Commons.
If anyone wants more information, they can visit my Party's website - www. conservatives.com - or my own website - www.peterluff.co.uk. Or they can do what Mr Showell does very often and write to me direct.
PETER LUFF,
MP for Mid-Worcestershire.
