A WORCESTER firm is to be one of the first West Midland companies to take part in a new campaign to persuade teenagers that manufacturing offers exciting career prospects.
Yamakazi Machinery in Warndon, is due to host a visit by Year 12 pupils from St Benedict's School, Alcester, today, to launch the regional Inside Manufacturing Enterprise programme.
The programme is a joint initiative between the West Midlands Manufacturing Advisory Service, the Manufacturing Foundation and Advantage West Midlands.
Manufacturing still accounts for almost 30 per cent of the West Midlands' GDP. The programme will help careers teachers learn about the sector.
