STOURPORT Swifts boss Dave Titterton was ordered from the dug-out as his side slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Mangotsfield United in the Dr Martens Western Divison.

Titterton was incensed by the referee who ignored claims for two penalties early in the second half -- a handball and a foul on substitute John Hayward.

He carried on his tirade after the final whistle and could face a lengthy touchline ban for his outburst.

Kerry Giddings had an excellent chance to open the scoring for Swifts but fired over from in front of goal.

This proved costly as Mangotsfield opened the scoring 10 minutes before the break when a poor clearance from visiting 'keeper Lee Evans fell to United's Adam Sims. The midfielder squared to Danny Haines who netted with a glorious long-range strike.

Jack Pitcher rose to head a second for the hosts three minutes into the second half minutes before Titterton saw red.

Robbie Taylor then crashed a shot against the upright before Andy Wright gave Swifts hope with a fine volley just five minutes after coming off the bench.

But hopes of a fightback were forgotten two minutes from time when a Darren Edwards effort was deflected over his own line by defender Steve Ulfig.

The result means Swifts have now managed just one win from their last seven games and a top half finish is looking a distant dream.
