PLANNERS have again deferred determining a scheme to build a home in the rear garden of an existing house in Lower Broadheath - due to administrative errors.

The scheme, which has been registered with Malvern Hills District Council, involves the construction of a house on part of the rear garden of 3, Manor Field, in Lower Broadheath.

The site is surrounded by residential development and access would be gained via a narrow road off Jacomb Road.

A previous identical scheme was refused in June last year and another application for a house was refused 26 years ago.

Privacy

Several residents of Jacomb Road and nearby Hallow Lane have written to the district council, objecting to the scheme on the grounds that it would result in a reduction in their privacy.

The application was deferred at a meeting of the district council's northern area planning committee so that a site visit could be undertaken last month.

Planners again deferred a decision on the scheme at a meeting on Wednesday last week due to administrative errors with the application.

Now the scheme is not expected to be determined until next month.
