PAUL H Griffiths comments about jumping to conclusions, (You Say, Tuesday, January 6) regarding Nancy Dyson, asking why the Crib was not on show in its usual place at the Guildhall.

Well, I must admit that the thought did occur to me as well, as I actually went to see it, and wondered why it was not there.

Nothing surprises me about the actions of our council in its politically-correct actions these days.

The council said that the absence was due to the lack of volunteers and insurance. But I never read in the paper that they were looking for volunteers, and why insurance?

Is this in case someone trips over the crib, or will someone set fire to it? Nothing's ever happened to it before.

MIKE CARTWRIGHT,

Worcester.
