LANGLAND Sports gave a brilliant display to overcome Worcester City to go into the next round of the Bayliss Cup.

WORCESTER CITY 2, LANGLAND SPORTS 3

After a difficult time Langland Sports Club are back to their best with a new management team and a blend of young and experienced players.

City scored first as Langland took time to settle. The first goal for Langlands came when Matt Dance, Lee Henderson and Matt Cole played in James Abba who chipped the City keeper from just inside the 18 yard box for a great finish.

Worcester City then scored their second in the 35th minute only for Langland Sports to level before half time when Gary Watkins, Dave Lewis passed wide to the right to Dan Dakin whose pass split the Worcester defence for Luke Dunn to blast goalwards leaving Worcester City's keeper unable to hold.

The second half was as even as the first until Langland Sports introduced Peter Brannelly and Andy Brown. The fresh legs put Langland in the driving seat for most of the second half and Ali Barnes only had four saves to make, two of them were top class. Langland's third came following good work by Peter Brannelly, Bryan Craven and Luke Dunn for Andy Brown to power home.

A boost for the new management team of Clifford Gardiner and Ali Barnes.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Langland Sports play Perrywood away. Players meet at Victoria Park 1pm.
