A MEDIEVAL silver brooch found in Longdon will be the subject of a treasure inquest later this year.
When an ancient article made of gold or silver is discovered and its owner cannot be traced, an inquest is held to determine whether or not it is treasure and belongs to the Crown. A brooch found in Martley was declared treasure at an inquest on Tuesday. A third has been found in Eldersfield and will also be the subject of an inquest.
