UPTON'S Tree of Light raised £500 for charity over Christmas.
The town's Rotary Club put lights on a tree next to the Pepperpot and invited people to sponsor one in memory of a loved one.
Organiser John Eastwood thanked members of the public who contributed towards the scheme, which will see the money split between Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.
He also thanked the King's Head pub for supplying the electricity for the lights.
