WESLEY Mole, general manager of Bromsgrove Rovers Football Club, has died suddenly after suffering a heart attack.

Mr Mole, aged 73, passed away on Monday, December 29. A one-minute silence was held prior to Rovers' home match with Halesowen Town last Thursday.

He had been with the Victoria Ground club for four years. Rovers chairman Tom Herbert said: "I would like to thank him for all the work he's done as a loyal servant since I took over at Rovers."

Mr Mole's funeral takes place at 12pm tomorrow (Thursday) at St John's Church in Halesowen.
