GENEROUS shoppers who visited Santa's Grotto in Worcester's CrownGate Shopping Centre during the festive period raised £2,000 for two city-based charities.
The money, which was put into collection boxes, will be divided equally and donated to Acorns Children's Hospice and St Richard's Hospice.
"We would like to thank Caf Vienna who gave us the space and all the shoppers who gave money over the Christmas period," said CrownGate manager Carolyn Mantle.
"I think people appreciate that we don't charge for the children to meet Father Christmas and they are pleased to support local good causes."
