THE girlfriend of a Malvern man missing for a week has spoken of her relief after he was found safe and well yesterday.

Stephanie Mills said she was 'over the moon' after hearing the news boyfriend Tim Hunter - also known as David, had been found by British Transport Police at Birmingham's New Street Station at 3.05pm yesterday.

It is believed he had been sleeping rough in the Birmingham area and is now back at home in Wyche Road, Malvern.

"I'm speechless - I'm happy, cheerful - everything. I'm just a bit upset too because it's a big shock," said Miss Mills, aged 16, of Linn Close in Leigh Sinton.

"I'm over the moon to hear he's alive and well - I was so worried."

Twenty-two-year-old Mr Hunter, who works at the Abbey Hotel in Abbey Road, Malvern as a trainee food and beverage supervisor, went missing on Wednesday last week after being last seen by Miss Mills at his home.

He had not been to work since and his disappearance sparked a massive police search and a Press appeal for information.

Miss Mills, who worked at the former Kay & Co site in Worcester until she was made redundant last month, met Mr Hunter 18 months ago when he worked at Malvern's Safeway with her brother Ricki.

Mr Hunter's parents were unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
