A 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a rush hour smash on a busy Kidderminster highway.the scene of the collision in Stourport Road, Kidderminster.

Nicholas Balmer, died shortly after his white Yamaha motorbike collided with a red Vauxhall Astra on the Stourport Road, at 8.10am on Tuesday.

The Minster Road, Stourport resident was travelling towards Kidderminster when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with the Astra, which was coming from the opposite direction.

The driver of the Astra, 57-year-old Wolverhampton resident, Mr Ni Yongxi, suffered severe shock.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened near the Loom and Shuttle pub.

PC Andy Saunders, from North Worcestershire Traffic Police, said: "At the time of this collision, the road was very busy with people travelling to work or taking children to school.

"Very often, people think what they have seen is either immaterial or of no use.

"This isn't the case and all the information, no matter how small, can be useful in painting a picture of what happened."
