BROMSGROVE 3

STOURPORT 3

Stourport took the lead when a Katie Clowes shot deflected up into the roof of the net off Louise Bagnall's stick.

Bromsgrove equalised after 30 minutes when they bundled thro-ugh the defence and the resultant shot from the right of the 'D' evaded the Stourport keeper and went in at the near post.

The visitors then suffered a disaster from the outset of the second half. With the ball being given away from the push back, the Bromsgrove winger drove down the left to the back line and then slotted her shot between the keeper and near post.

Then despite some good saves by Sarah Cranton in the Stourport goal, the visitors found themselves 3-1 down 10 minutes after Bromgrove's second. Once again the ball was taken to the left with the cross touched in at the far post.

In the final minutes Stourport pulled the game around with two dramatic goals. With five minutes left, Melissa Kennedy surged thro-ugh the home defence, slipping the ball to Vicky Whitehouse, who was impeded in the area, and from the short corner which followed, Holly Lashford's strike settled itself into the bottom corner.

There were further thrills to come and with only a minute left Whitehouse provided a pass for Kennedy to touch on the ball for Bagnall to finish a rousing fightback.

STOURPORT 7 BADSEY 1

Stourport couldn't have had started better with a goal from Teri Baron after five minutes. In the 20th minute Karen McIntyre struck the ball straight in the goal from a short corner. Badsey pulled a goal back three minutes later. The home side found their chances going amiss, until the 30th minute when a Lucy Holmes made it 3-1.

Stourport came out all guns blazing in the second half which resulted in a fourth goal in the 42nd minute from a Holmes strike.

They added a fifth 10 minutes later through Kate Bailey. It was Bailey who scored number six before Jess Trundle rounded off the scoring with a seventh.
