I WAS saddened to hear about the Kidderminster market being closed down.
Although I have lived in Australia for the last 12 years, I have very fond memories of going to the market every Saturday with my nan up until the age of 11, where we used to buy a variety of items including bread, ham and my weekly supply of sweeties.
I understand Kidderminster has changed a lot over the years but I always thought the market would stay.
I am especially sad as I am bringing my six- year-old daughter with me when I visit England in September and had hoped to show her all the places I went as a little girl. I guess the market is another location to cross off my list.
