OVER the past year the Carpet and Commerce lodge of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes raised and presented £581 to this charity.
I and the trustees wish to thank them and are most grateful for the hard work put in to achieve this target.
The purpose of the disabled club is to raise funds to transport approximately 40 people weekly, entertain them and give them light refreshments, thus giving them an afternoon away from home and to give their relatives a short respite.
The other purpose is to give about 50 people a week's holiday with full board and entertainment and to provide carers during this holiday. The approximate cost, which we have to raise annually, is £10,000.
