BOWLING: Stourport just held onto an overall victory after a storming fightback from Chestnuts in the Gilt Edge Short Mat League.
The town side won the first half 12-5 but were then pegged back in the second 11-6.
Blakedown bounced back with a 17-12 victory over Crusaders, despite a tough second-half battle.
Telly Tubbies' Rad Danks, Mark Bourne and Chris Limbrick made a great start against Just For Fun, triumphing 14-1 in an overall 26-6 success.
Just For Fun then drew their first half 8-8 against Brintons but let the second slip 15-8.
Wribbenhall had a comfortable 15-4 lead against Untouchables who hit back strongly to win the second half 12-4.
Squirrel struggled against leaders Invincibles, losing the first period 16-6.
But Squirrel were only denied on the last end in a 9-9 draw in the second, while Tornadoes defeated unlucky Aces 20-8.
