HOCKEY: Kidderminster started the second half of the season with 2-1 friendly wins over Telford and Shifnal and Bridgnorth.
The town had to work hard to keep out the Telford and Shifnal forwards at the weekend.
Man-of-the-match Stewart MacIntyre was outstanding in goal.
Will Good put Kidderminster ahead after good work from Ajay Sandu and Andy Pocknell.
Their opponents equalised but then missed a penalty flick.
Adam Robson marked his return to the Kidderminster side with a winning goal.
With several players back from university, they defeated a mixed Bridgnorth side the previous weekend.
Kidderminster scored twice in the first period through Pocknell and Ross Hodson but could have had many more.
