ART SOCIETY: Once again members enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch - this year at The Fish and Anchor where they were well looked after with a lovely log fire in a private room.

At the November demonstration, Sally Brookes talked about her pictures inspired by 20th century artists such as Braque, Picasso and Klint. She uses stitching, wool and gold leaf but in this demonstration used the seeds from a pomegranate with bits of coloured paper.

The New Year starts on January 21 with a watercolour demonstration - probably landscape - by Graham Blaine, RBSA.

A reminder for members that the AGM and social evening is on February 18. The theme is fun painting Temptation.

Evesham Arts Society meets at The Friends Meeting House, Cowl Street, Evesham at 7.15pm for 7.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month except December. Non-members welcomed - entrance £2 to include coffee and biscuits.

INNER WHEEL: At the January meeting at the Northwick Hotel members had a lunch and talk by member Mrs Angela Goodall. It was about a school governor from 1960s until the present day.

Members are now looking forward to a recipe day to be held at president Barbara Bott's home in February.
