IN the early hours of Friday, December 19, we were added to Redditch police station's computer as yet more poor souls who had to be issued a crime number.
Someone had decided they were well within their rights to enter our property and take a bike worth £1,000 which did not belong to them.
The following day, we were told by the police the bike had been recovered and was waiting for us to view at the local scrap yard.
It was heartbreaking to see a once lovely looking bike reduced to nothing but an empty shell.
Luckily, we were insured but that's not the point.
How long are these people going to be left to do as they please?
Redditch is becoming a very unsafe place to be, for its residents and their property.
And as if to rub salt into the wounds, on our return journey we were greeted with another car dumped at the bottom of our road which had been stolen and burnt, so now some other poor soul will have to go through exactly what we just had to.
