BROMSGROVE Ladies Hockey Club Seconds began 2004 with a 5-0 victory at Worcester Norton.
Despite the short notice of this re-arranged fixture, originally set for October, Clare Berrisford was able to field a strong side.
Louise Clarke scored the first goal early in the first half and Sarah Gormley added a second before half time.
Vicki Powell got the third after a run from midfield and Gormley added to her tally with a late touch on Jane Humby's shot from a penalty corner. Powell struck the fifth.
Captain Berrisford said: "Credit should go to every single player as we were under pressure to play the league fixture at a time when people have lost their fitness. The win will certainly boost our confidence for the forthcoming games."
