A GOALLESS draw at Team Bath extended Evesham United's unbeaten run to four games and lifted them up two places in the Dr Martens Western Division.

Although missing a number of regulars through injury, United gave another polished performance and were well worth a share of the spoils.

A swirling wind and bumpy pitch made life difficult but credit to both sides for trying to play a passing game, rather than kick and rush.

The experienced Peter Beadle looked dangerous for Bath early on.

Tim Clarke in the Robins goal made an excellent point blank save to deny the ex-Watford and Bristol Rovers striker and Inderpaul Khela made a brave last ditch tackle as Beadle prepared to fire goalwards.

The action wasn't all at one end. United carved out several chances in the first half.

Craig Ball's first time volley fizzed wide and Lee Ross made room for himself on the edge of the box only to have his shot saved by Ali Hines.

In the second half United with the wind behind them came closest when Ross at the near post diverted Grant Pinkney's cross the wrong side of a post and then Hines touched Ross's overhead kick onto the bar and over.

Bath were reduced to 10 men with 15 minutes left when Mike Wisson was stret-chered off, having already used their three substitutes.

But the 10 men nearly snatched victory at the death. Caleb Kamara-Taylor got a touch to Luke Prince's cross and Clarke somehow managed to keep the ball out with another instinctive save.
