WORCESTER Wolves bid to complete a rapid 'double' when they visit Oxford Devils in the National Basketball Trophy tonight (7pm).

Wolves opened their season with a surprise 100-96 victory over National Conference side Oxford at University College Worcester last week, and will be out to show the result was no fluke.

Coach Rick Solvason said: "We didn't feel we played particularly well last week and still came away with a victory.

"If we can improve on that and cut out some of the mistakes, we have a good chance of going down there and winning.

"But Oxford will definitely be up for the game as the last two times we have played them, we have beaten them."

Wolves will look to their new signings for inspiration again, particularly Paul Gerald, who had an outstanding game last week, and American ace Joshua Cooprider.

"Some of the new guys played fantastically last week, especially Paul, while Joshua did a nice job too. From our existing players Colin Chiverton also had a brilliant game.

"The bottom line is that last year we did OK at home but on the road we were very inconsistent. Here is a chance to see just how much we have got to do."

Wolves, who should have an unchanged squad from last week, entertain Plymouth Raiders in their third group match next Saturday, when their new £100,000 permanent seats should be in use for the first time.
