GEORGE Rooney plans to sit down for a 'quiet chat' with Paul Wyatt following a number of blunders by the goalkeeper lately.

The Bromsgrove Rovers stopper gifted two goals against Wolves in midweek and also made a mistake to enable Halesowen to snatch a point on New Year's Day.

Rooney will be hoping Wyatt is back to his best for tomorrow's Dr Martens Western Division clash with bottom club Shepshed Dynamo at the Victoria Ground (3pm).

"Paul just needs to take a bit of time over his game because his kicking has been a bit erratic and his decision making a little erratic," said Rooney.

"We have to be looking for three points and it's important we consolidate our position in the top seven so we step up in the league next season."

Striker Paul Szewczyk will return to the starting line-up but Sam Bowen (thigh) is doubtful.

Midfielder Ryan Mahon is suspended but Grant Beckett plays and he has been a key figure in recent matches, says Rooney.

"Grant gets through an awful lot of work, he gets close to people, shuts them down and makes life uncomfortable for the opposition.

"I could do with a few more of the players working as hard as he does."
