NORTH Malvern Post Office will close in March following a Royal Mail review of West Worcestershire.
The review, which included a public consultation, said that there were a sufficient number of post offices nearby to provide services for residents.
Bob Davidson, postmaster for 17 years, said: "I'm just lucky it's come at this time. If it had been when I was 30 years old, I would have felt a bit differently.
"The problem is that people don't use post offices like they did when I was a kid."
The shop will continue to trade for the time being, but the post office will stop operating on March 4.
It is one of six in West Worcestershire earmarked for closure.
