The final speaker of 2003 was Paula Dowie G8PZT, who gave a talk on "Internet-linked Radio Communications", illustrated by a slide presentation.
She described the various internet linking systems, most notably EchoLink and E-qso, which now enable amateur radio operators to talk to stations all over the world, using nothing more sophisticated than a mobile or hand-held VHF or UHF radio.
The Kidderminster node is on 434.500MHz.
A Christmas social took place in December, attended by over 20 members and guests.
