BOSBURY Players' production of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Gondoliers was very well received last week. It had a good review in this newspaper and was enjoyed by about 400 people over the four nights. Friday and Saturday nights were particularly popular and many of you were disappointed not to be able to see it on the last two nights, but for Linda Sinker, the producer, the "sold out" signs were confirmation of the Players' increasing reputation for providing excellent family entertainment. The next production is undecided as yet but could be Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience. Robert Hood-Wright, Bosbury Players chairman, thanks everybody who contributed to the very successful show.

Flicks in the Sticks returns to the parish hall on Friday, December 19, at 7.30pm. Bruce Almighty features Jim Carrey returning to his zany, maniacal roots as a television reporter who feels God isn't doing a good job and he gets a 24 hour chance to take over in the divine hot seat. But can he do any better? Or is he likely to cause more havoc? The film is DVD format and projected onto a large cinema screen. Tickets £3.
