A LOVELY sunny morning was the perfect start for Manor Park Men's D match against Ludlow Castle last Sunday.
Unfortunately for Manor Park one of the opponents' pairings was the club coach and a county junior champion and their class showed.
The result was a losing draw, Castle winning 5-4. C Weedon & B White 6-2, 7-5, & 0-6, 1-6, P Clements & G Wills 0-6, 1-6 & 4-6, 7-6, 7-6.
The Ladies F team played away at Clifton-on-Teme. Conditions were extremely cold but bright.
Manor Park was represented by Bev Brocklehurst, Denise Brodick, Jo Bailey and Collette James.
Clifton won the first two rubbers 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 and 6-7, 7-6, 6-4.
In the reverse rubbers Manor Park lost one match to love but won the other 6-1, 6-4. The overall result was 3-1 to Clifton.
