THE Elms School, Colwall U11 A Girls hockey team finished the autumn term on a high by lifting the Herefordshire U11 County mini-hockey title held at Leominster last weekend.
After four victories, without conceding a single goal in the group stages, a 1-0 semi-final win over Hereford Cathedral Junior School A followed, courtesy of a goal from Phoebe Cruickshank.
Not to be outdone and highlighting the great strength in depth at this age group, the Elms B team also won their group and semi-final without conceding a goal to set up an intriguing all Elms contest in the final.
Both sides impressed with their passing and movement, but it was the Elms A who finally triumphed 1-0 with a well taken goal from Phoebe Windsor-Clive after god approach work from centre half, Zoe Twiston-Davies. The Elms U11s girls will now go on to represent the county at the West of England Championships at Clifton College in March.
