A MALVERN woman has passed her Grade VIII piano exam - 50 years after she last took one.
Gill Miller, of Westward Road, said she was elated to get the results this week and is looking forward to showing off her new qualification at the piano club she hosts.
Ms Miller gave up playing the piano when she was 15, but decided to take it up again when she retired three years ago.
She said: "When I retired I started playing music again and found I wasn't as good as I used to be, so I got myself a teacher then took the exam. I was elated to find I'd passed."
The piano club meets once a month at Ms Miller's house and plays a range of music from jazz to classical. Call 01886 830021.
