AS the fellow councillor who seconded Roger Hall-Jones's proposal to refuse Millers Tyres' first planning application, I do take exception to David Cunliffe's accusation of snobbery (Your Letters, Nov-ember 21).
The design submitted was not up to what one should expect in a Conser-vation Area.
If Mr Cunliffe would like to walk into the planning desk at Brunel House, the excellent staff will show him the Edith Walk section of the council's new Local Plan, hot off the press. Pages 78-80 will answer his questions on development of the area. There is no threat therein to Millers Tyres whatsoever.
Edith Walk needs improvement
and if it doesn't get better now I'm a Priory Ward councillor, it will not be for want of trying.
Coun Philip Rumney, Tibberton Road, Great Malvern.
