I WAS sad to read that Chris Ridler (Your Letters, November 28) thinks that 40 million animals killed every year for the fur trade is petty.
The anti-fur protests in Ledbury are also against the factory farming of sentient beings kept in small wire cages never able to breathe fresh air. I campaign against all animal abuse, so please don't write off the suffering and deaths of 40 million animals as inconsequential.
