YOU cannot believe the admiration I have for Pettifer Estates associate director Mr. Andrew Stanley; clearly he has our well-being in mind when he claims (Ledbury Reporter, November 28) that a Homebase store is a "feather in the cap" for Ledbury and a "real boost for tourism". DIY tourism?
How can a 21,000 sqare-foot shed be a "feather in the cap" compared to this historic town and its surroundings?
To cap it all, your article reports unquestioningly that there are 40 "full- and part-time jobs" at the store. Is this one full-time and 39 part-time? I think your paper could do more to explore these issues.
