THE Soccer Site Division Two saw the fightback of the day at Madresfield where the third-placed side hosted fourth-placed Cross Keys.

At 5-2 in the 70th minute it appeared Madresfield would be making one of their games in hand pay to move within touching distance of leaders Bell Inn 98, who were on cup duty.

Cross Keys had ideas of their own and regained third spot with a fightback that saw them net four times in the last 20 minutes to run out 6-5 victors.

Keys scorers were Paul Edwards, Jamie Thomas and two apiece for Lee Phillips and Ollie Endacott with Madresfield's response coming from Ty Fisher, Adam Morse and a Sam Black hat-trick.

Following the success of two of its three sides in last week's WFA Sunday Minor Cup The Soccer Site Malvern League were hoping for at least the same success rate last Sunday.

Bell Inn 98, Bishops Frome and Dynamo Ledbury all played in the Third round of the Herefordshire FA Sunday Cup with a place in the last eight the prize for the winners.

Division One side Bishops Frome entertained Longtown and an exiting contest ensued with both sides having chances in normal time in a very competitive and entertaining game. Bishops Frome were grateful for keeper Simon Wall who made a series of good saves to ensure it was 0-0 at 90 minutes.

In the 95th minute Stuart Graham maintained his excellent scoring run when he was on hand to snap up a chance when there was a mix-up between the Longtown keeper and a defender. There were chances at either end before Bishops Frome made the tie safe in the last minute, this time Stuart Graham went through before unselfishly squaring the ball for Jason Westmacott to smash the ball home to bring to an end a game which was a credit to both sides.

Division Two side Dynamo Ledbury also progressed to the next round following another hard fought game at Red Line FC where they snatched a late winner.

Dynamo started brightly and took the lead with a Matt Grey shot from just inside the area. The same player made it 2-0 with the help of a deflection off the head of a defender. Red Line pulled a goal back from the restart and then equalised early in the second half to put Dynamo on the backfoot. But a tactical change paid dividends when Simon Watkins was brought on at the back and John Walker pushed up.

In the 80th minute Walker turned a defender on the corner of the area and his cross shot found the corner of the net to send Dynamo through to the next round.

Bell Inn 98 were the only side to go out and they were very unfortunate to go down 2-3 to an 86th minute own goal by Paul Wilband at Credenhill. Bell Inn 98's scorers were Chris Grubb and Nicky Welch.

The Soccer Site Malvern League is assured of one team in the semi-final as the draw sees Dynamo Ledbury entertain Bishops Frome in the quarter-final at New Road, Ledbury on February 1.

In Division One Club AC 30 entertained bottom of the table Fromes Hill and took the points with a 4-2 victory. Club AC 30 took the lead through Jayson Payton Smith and then Sven De Feyter made it 2-0 before James Howard pulled a goal back for Fromes Hill. Danny Haywood made it 3-1 but Fromes Hill showed a lot of determination and after hitting the bar and post they deservedly pulled a goal back through Richard Baker. Jayson Payton Smith then notched his second to make the game safe for Club AC30 but Fromes Hill can take heart from a very good performance.

Talbot Head took revenge for their cup defeat by Grovesnor AFC when they took all three away points with a 3-1 win. Talbot's goals came from Danny Briscoe, Ed Hofton and Andy Rogers with the response coming from Stuart Hollings.

The other game in this division saw Morgan Aero come down to earth with a bump following their cup heroics the previous week when they lost 0-3 at home to Kempsey United A whose goals came from Steve Edwards, Lee Williams and a Richard Ford penalty.

The season's first goalless draw in either division saw Cavalry Arms and Perowne Park Rangers share the points

This Sunday sees the semi-finals of the Senior Cup where Bishops Frome entertain AFC Grovesnor and Second Division Cross Keys entertain cup holders Oak Allstars.
