THE Borrowers Toy Library in Malvern was this week celebrating the arrival of an early Christmas present.
The organisation, based at Barnards Green, was given a grant of £1,000 form the Lloyds TSB Foundation scheme.
The Toy Library was one of 97 charities in the West Midlands to share in the £477,069 given away as the foundation made its final round of grants for 2003.
Sue Hancox, co-ordinator of the toy library, said: "Receiving a donation just before Christmas means we can start the new year confident that we can support people in our local community."
The library was established to provide play opportunities for children and to provide support to childcare providers and families around the region.
The £1,000 will be put towards the running costs of a new vehicle which will transport toys and play equipment throughout Worcestershire.
