POWICK played Archdales Reserves in the Sunday Worcester League Division One.

POWICK 6, ARCHDALES RESERVES 0

Powick expected an easy game as Archdales are at the bottom of the table, but the first half proved a different story.

Powick quickly settled into their game and put the Archdales defence under a lot of pressure without finding the final ball.

The Archdales defence played very well especially Dave Green in the Archdales goal. Powick tried hard to score but poor finishing let them down.

In the 43rd minute however Powick did finally open the scoring when good play down the right allowed Steve Hadley to cross for Bryan Craven to stab home.

An unbelievable first five minutes of the second half saw Powick score three more goals. The first came when Powick cleared the ball up field to find Phil Skilton in space who found Gary Henderson to score.

The second, one minute later, came from a cross by Steve Hadley for Bryan Craven to score his second.

The third came when the Archdales keeper kicked the ball out only to find Phil Skilton on the edge of the area, he rounded the keeper and scored.

Now four goals up Powick were able to bring on Simon Rodway and Ryan Dunn for Stu Hart and James Hughes. Powick's manager Carl Pitt moved Jamie Boswell up front and he caused problems for the Archdales defence.

On 60 minutes Powick had a throw in, Stu Fish's long throw found Luke Dunn in the area who fired low into the net.

Andrew Cresswell then came on for Nick Price and played a steady game in midfield. With 65 minutes gone, Jamie Boswell was fouled in the box and Bryan Craven stepped up to complete his hat-trick.

Next Sunday Powick are at home to Kays, kick off 10.30am.
