SIR Michael Spicer has asked the government when building work will start on Malvern's new hospital at Seaford Court.
The MP for West Worcestershire questioned health minister John Hutton in Parliament on Tuesday (December 9), after further delays in the timetable for the Seaford Court site were revealed last week.
Mr Hutton said he would write to Sir Michael about the issue by the end of the week.
Malvern Hills District Council will discuss the issue as part of a special meeting on Tuesday (December 16).
Council leader Tom Wells is asking members to back a motion registering disappointment at the delay. The motion also asks South Worcestershire Primary Care Trust to reaffirm its commitment to the project and to spell out a timetable.
Malvern Town Council will meet on Tuesday night and considering its response in light of the latest delay.
