THE origin of Tewkesbury's name is one of many points explored in a new edition of a book about the Gloucestershire town.
Tewkesbury, by Anthea Jones, was first published in 1987, but has now been revised and redesigned.
The book tells the history of the town, from its original medieval buildings to its part in the Wars of the Roses, and has numerous photographs and drawings to illustrate the chapters.
Connections between the town's past and its present state are also explored.
Tewkesbury costs £18.99 and is published by Phillimore.
