A MAN has admitted possessing pornographic images of children.

Robert Hine, aged 38, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday charged with nine counts of making indecent moving photographs of children.

Alex Warren, prosecuting said the incidents occurred between Friday, November 15, and Sunday, December 15, 2002.

"A search warrant was issued on Tuesday, December 17, last year, as part of Operation Ore," said Mr Warren.

"The defendant's details were among those passed on from the US as a person who has paid to subscribe to a child pornography site.

"The defendant's computer was seized by police and analysed and found to contain nine moving clips of child abuse."

Mr Warren added that Hine, of Gilbert Road, Bromsgrove, accepted he had paid for access to the US-based websites and that he had searched for images of a sexual nature.

Sue Marshall, defending, said her client had searched for images of girls aged between 14 and 16 years, not those significantly younger.

Magistrates ordered that the case should go to Crown Court for sentencing.

Hine was released on unconditional bail to attend Worcester Crown Court on Monday, January 19.

A pre-sentence report has been ordered.

Mr Warren described the content of the clips, some as long as six minutes, between and adult male and young girls.

that included scenes of penetrative sex between an adult male and young girls.

He said one clip was of an adult male having penetrative sex with a girl aged between six and 10.
