A FACTORY will be rolling out more than just the red carpet when royalty visits Kidderminster today.
The Duke of York is visiting Brintons Carpets where examples of fine carpets - in many different colours - will be laid out for him to inspect.
He will be at the factory in Stourport Road this afternoon as part of an official visit to Worcestershire.
At the factory, he will open the new £6 million fully automated dye house. He will also meet senior managers, tour the plant and visit the design showroom to look at special carpets including a sample of a design for Buckingham Palace.
Prince Andrew will be in the county to meet members of the business community and visit companies involved in export.
He is visiting in his capacity as special representative for international trade and investment.
His role involves supporting the work of UK Trade and Investment, the government agency set up to assist businesses develop overseas markets.
The Duke will also be visiting companies in Malvern and Worcester.
