INJURIES robbed Stourport of four first-team forwards as they crashed 35-5 at Birmingham Civil Service in North Midlands Two.
But the team produced a committed display, despite being unsettled by the players missing and disappointed with the end result.
Stourport started well for the first 10 minutes but Birmingham gradually took hold of the game and piled on the pressure which paid off with an unconverted try in the far corner on 15 minutes.
The visitors conceded two more penalties as Civil Service extended their lead to 11-0 at the interval.
Missed tackles from Stourport cost them and the strong home side attacked well to score two quick tries, with one converted, in the first 10 minutes of the second period.
But the Wyre Forest side did show good spirit to fight back with a fine try by Matt Shutt which was unconverted.
Birmingham quickly regrouped and regained their composure to score two consecutive tries with their kicker adding two extra points.
Kevin Brown made an impressive first-team debut for Stourport who are still third in the table.
