Evesham Utd Ladies 0,
Burlish Olympic 4
A DISAPPOINTING performance saw Evesham Ladies fail to score for the first time this season as they went down to defeat in Sunday's Wyvern Associates League Cup clash.
Burlish created the majority of the first half chances and it was left to Sam Jones to keep her side in the game with a number of good saves.
Evesham had their best chance after 44 minutes when Charlotte Benson-Wilson's through ball was fumbled by the goalkeeper but Lisa Tustin was unable to capitalise.
Hesitation at the back seconds before the half-time whistle resulted in Burlish finally breaking the deadlock.
Jones was in action again saving bravely soon after the restart and, with United unable to create any worthwhile chances, it was Olympic who looked the most likely to score.
However, Jones continued in fine form until an attacker was left free to run in and make it 3-0.
Six minutes from time an error on the edge of the Evesham penalty area allowed the visitors the chance to score an easy fourth.
A late penalty for the visitors completed the scoring and maintained the winners' 100 per cent record in the competition.
